CAPS Online provides you with the ability to unenroll or "drop" a child who is no longer in your care. Some instances in which you may need to use this function include:
- A child moving away
- A child being transferred to another program
- A child no longer attending your program (Note: If a child unexpectedly stops attending your program, reach out to their parents/guardian to determine if they will be returning. If not, drop the child from your roster.)
In order to do so, first, click on "Placement Roster" in the navigation bar at the top of your screen. Once your placement roster is listed on your screen, in the Action column on the right, click the first icon (the black square with a pencil) next to the child you want to drop from your care (see Image 1.1).

On the following screen, you will need to enter a drop code from a dropdown menu (the reason the child left your care) and the drop date for the child (the last day the child attended), and click "save" (see Image 1.2).

Note: Be certain that you drop the correct child, as an accidental unenrollment has to be re-enrolled through ACS/CFWB. If you accidentally drop a child, email VEU@acs.nyc.gov.
